Biological science and studio art have always been parallel forces in my life and now weave together in my artistic practice. My work explores the intricacies of natural phenomena such as the limits of will and endurance, how light refracts through a substrate and the dream state of false awakening. My practice is interdisciplinary; it incorporates photography, drawing, painting, performance and video.
The main concept that drives my work is the intrinsic and codependent relationship between mental and physical states, how they affect each other and how the balance between them can be altered. In other words: how what you think affects what you are capable of achieving and what you are capable of achieving might affect how you think.
