I was born and raised in Portland, Oregon and I moved to New York in 2000. My work has ranged from divemaster and marine biologist to fine art studio manager. In addition to my art practice, since I received my MFA in Photography, Video and Related Media at the School of Visual Arts, I also run a professional photography business, Steadfast Studio. In my spare time I write for Art in America, make a ton of kolache (a traditional Czech pastry), read a lot of Poirot, and hand out killer hi5s. Future dreams include scuba diving on the Mid-Atlantic Ridge.
